What a great meal . We were a party of 6 and all truly enjoyed every part of our meal ,appetizers, main course and dessert. My martini was delicious and we all enjoyed the red and white pitchers of sangria. All of our servers were excellent,friendly and attentive. Very professional staff. Truly an enjoyable dining experience.
This place is DELICIOUS!! Came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and the food is so delicious. My filet mignon was to die for and melted in my mouth. The hostess set the mood as we walked in, she was so welcoming and happy. Our waiter, Jorge, was also so amazing. The best dinner we've had in a long time. Very cute decor and super clean restaurant. The bread and butter they bring in the beginning was also delicious.

I am passionate about beaches and brilliant, lighter tan sands and cerulean hues that resemble tropical waters at Point Pleasant (also had a best visit, well-curated aquarium with the most beautiful fishes), Wildwood, and Cape May Beaches on the Jersey Shore. Long Branch, also at the Jersey Shore is totally overrated with unpristine, harder sands; complete rip-off $50 parking and hard-to-find parking; and garish oceanfront-beachfront apartments rapidly being built next door to run-down homes, left me greatly unimpressed. Don't believe the hype: Kushner Cos.'s Pier Village of Long Branch called "The Hamptons of The Shore" is owned by Ivanka Trump's husband. Pier Village has more than 30 boutiques, restaurants, year-round events, and oceanfront apartment rentals with no standout, not worth a day trip. But Mar Belo Portuguese Restaurant/Lounge in Long Branch, Jersey is spectacular that I paid $77 and got epic, giant portions of authentic, delicious Paella Marinheira and Grilled Double Cut Pork Chop. As to the actual quality, well, these two dishes were outstanding. Enamored with Mar Belo's Paella Marinheira- Surfer Girl Caviar: Gluten-free with abundant lobster, shrimp, scallops, and calamari cooked in seasoned saffron rice is the best thing I ate so far in Summer 2024! Well-executed Grilled Double Cut Pork Chop: Gluten-free, mashed potatoes, and Spanish rice, was worthwhile too, especially the pork chop once treated to a tasty, tangy sweet apricot-kissed brandy reduction.
Mar Belo was a Beautiful Experience for my I was Welcomed with a Smile and our waiter was fantastic with recommendations, service was Excellent and I Felt Happy and Welcomed.The food was Also Delicious!!! I Had the shrimp appetizer,Empanadas and the Seafood Paella... EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS I'm comfortable if they got me in a Bib . I would recommend this establishment to Everyone and I'll be back soon enough
Really wonderful service! Beautiful ambience with lovely & comfortable seats. I ordered cod . We also got a big salad and shrimp for appetizer to split. It was a wonderful lunch. Everything was so flavorful and so fresh! I'll be back.
Lovely intimate atmosphere. Attentive waitstaff. I recognized a waiter who was at the restaurant when it was known as "Pearl of the Sea." Caipirinhas are outstanding. Bread with garlic butter & a variety of olives were complimentary. I started with the meatball appetizer. I had the Portuguese Steak with fries for my main entree.
